Our Mission
To strengthen and expand breastfeeding/chest-feeding support, initiation, exclusivity, and duration within the community infrastructure.
As an interorganizational coalition, crossing county borders, we can work collaboratively to promote, protect, and support breastfeeding, improving the health of families we serve.
Our Vision
- A community where breastfeeding is normal and recognized as a health imperative prevention strategy
- Increase the access and availability of breastfeeding resources
- Facilitate a culture shift in which residents view breastfeeding/ chest-feeding as the norm
- Increase breastfeeding rates in our communities
- Benefits of participation include access to up-to-date data and resources, connection to other members and priority populations, reciprocal support of related initiatives and, ultimately, a healthier community
