Registration has opened for Warren County’s 2026 household hazardous waste collection event, which will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Warren County residents who would like to get rid of hazardous materials such as cleaners, paint, pesticides and other household chemicals can do so at no charge on at Queensbury Highway Department, 742 Bay Road, Queensbury. Online registration opened on May 4, 2026.
Residents who sign up will be able to safely dispose of materials such as antifreeze, pesticides, gasoline, latex and oil-based paints, household cleaners, fluorescent light bulbs and more at no cost at this household hazardous waste drop off event, which is being overseen by Warren County Department of Public Works.
The Warren County event collection staff will not be able to accept munitions, automotive oil, batteries, asbestos, pharmaceuticals, infectious waste or tires.
Registration is required, and spots are limited and fill quickly. Registration closes June 10.
This is the only household hazardous waste event to be held by Warren County Department of Public Works in 2026.
Those wishing to dispose of oil-based paints, primer and stains year-round can also do so locally through the PaintCare program at select paint retailers. You can find local collection sites for paints and primers here.
