Up Yonda Farm 'Trunk or Treat' set for October 29!

Warren County’s Up Yonda Farm to hold Halloween celebration October 29!!

 

BOLTON, NY – Up Yonda Farm Environmental Education Center’s free “Trunk or Treat” Halloween celebration is returning for this year with a variety of fun activities and at least 20 Trick-or-Treat stations for kids!

The annual “Trunk or Treat” event has been scheduled for Saturday, October 29th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be plenty of goodies for costumed little ones, as well as pumpkin decorating, wildlife exhibitions and free books.

Dress up in your Halloween best and Trick-or-Treat from decorated vehicles, decorate your own pumpkin, listen to spooky stories by the campfire and check out the wildlife exhibitions, which will include a special live raptor display. This event is open to all ages.

Bolton Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary, ADK Boat Tours, Bolton Community Church, Chelka Lodge, and Bolton Central School PTO will be among the organizations that have committed to decorating vehicle trunks for treats. In addition, the Bolton Free Library Board of Trustees will be handing out books, Friends of Up Yonda Farm will offer pumpkin decorating and Silent Wings will bring their raptors for viewing.

Up Yonda staff continue to accept registration requests from those who would like to decorate their vehicle trunk for the event. Those applications are being accepted through October 15 on a first-come, first-served basis.

About Up Yonda Farm

Up Yonda Farm is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year! The farm was donated to Warren County in 1997 by Alice and John Scott and has been running programs for schools and families since then. The staff offers programs all year, and a variety of special events through the year, including a Maple Festival in the spring, along with a natural history museum and a popular turtle exhibit in the Welcome Center. Come back later in the spring and summer to visit and explore the farm’s pond, Children’s Sensory Garden and live butterfly exhibit. And don’t forget the center’s hiking trails with fabulous views of Lake George!
