WARREN COUNTY, NY -- The Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Glens Falls Police Department and the Warren County STOP-DWI Coordinator will participate in special enforcement efforts this summer to bring awareness to the dangers of impaired driving.

Summer in Warren County is historically a deadly period for impaired driving, and just last weekend there was a tragedy on Lake George that was allegedly related to impairment.

In a combined effort to bring awareness to the dangers of impaired driving, prevent injuries and save lives, local law enforcement and officers across New York State, along with STOP-DWI programs, will be participating in special engagement efforts. The statewide STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign started  June 5, 2025 and continues through August 10, 2025.

The “HVEC’ campaign is one of many statewide initiatives promoted by STOP-DWI NY and the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee. The Statewide STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign also targets Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day/End of Summer, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Holiday Season and St. Patrick’s Day.

Highly visible, highly publicized efforts like the STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign aim to further reduce the incidence of drunk and impaired driving.
