Warren County Health Services looks to distribute free air purifiers to daycares, preschools

WARREN COUNTY, NY -- Warren County Health Services is opening a new round of applications for free air purifiers to be provided to New York state-licensed daycare centers, preschools, day camps and summer camps in Warren County.

Warren County Health Services distributed over 200 FilterQueen room air purifiers last year to school districts in Warren County. Federal funding has been made available to allow for allocation of air purifiers to additional organizations that work with children, at no charge to the recipients.

Organizations in Warren County can order one air purifier for each room they utilize for their daycare, camp or preschool. Four replacement filters will be provided with each unit.

Equipment is expected to be made available this spring.

“These air purifiers are great tools to help stop the spread of illness among little ones in daycare, students at schools and camp attendees. We urge licensed businesses to apply for them while we are able to provide them at no charge,” said Ginelle Jones, Warren County Health Services Director.

The small, portable FilterQueen purifiers filter three times better than HEPA, eliminating and destroying the SARS-CoV-2 virus and filtering 99.99% of viruses, bacteria, allergens and more down to 0.1 micron.

Business owners/managers who are interested in obtaining them should contact Warren County Health Services at 518-761-6580 or email durkeed@warrencountyny.gov by March 17, 2023.
