Warren County BOE reminds that voter registration deadline is Friday

Registration can be done in person, by mail or online

Do you want to vote on November 2nd? If you haven’t registered to vote yet, you are running out of time.

Friday, October 8th is the deadline to register for this year’s General Election, and Warren County Board of Elections has made it easy to get your name on the rolls.

"The core of our democracy and good government is taking the time and vote for those who represent your values, convictions and ethics. America is the greatest country on the face of the earth because every year each resident can express their voice. Step one, you must be registered to vote. Friday is the deadline to do so," explained Queensbury Supervisor at-Large Doug Beaty, Warren County Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman and chairman of the board's Government Operations committee, which oversees the Board of Elections.

Voter registration forms are available in the lobby of the Warren County Human Services Building, which is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Human Services Building is located on the Warren County Municipal Center Campus at 1340 Route 9 in Queensbury. Parking is available in front of the building. Face masks are encouraged for those entering Municipal Center buildings.

Fill out the form in your car, deposit in the locked drop box in the lobby, and you will be ready to vote on November 2nd! (For the record, the drop box is emptied daily by Board of Elections staff, and is in a secure lobby that is monitored by Warren County security staff.)

If you choose to mail the registration form, it must be postmarked by October 8th.

In addition:

  • New York State also offers online opportunities to register to vote at www.ny.gov/services/register-vote.
  • For those whose address has changed since last election, an address change form must be received by Warren County Board of Elections by October 13th to be processed in time for the General Election.
  • Early voting begins October 23rd and runs through October 31st. Details for early voting times and location can be found in the attached flier.
  • Absentee ballot requests must be postmarked by October 26th.
