Susan Strong-Norman was looking for stability and variety in her workload when she left her position with an insurance company to join the Warren County Clerkโs Office as a legal recording clerk four years ago.
โI like the variety of the work. Itโs something different every day, and the people are great,โ she said.
Strong-Norman has become valued by ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ค ๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ค, who recently promoted her to Senior Legal Recording Clerk. Black praised Strong-Norman for her determination and team spirit, particularly when challenges arise.
โSusan has a calm determination. Her quick thinking, selflessness and positive leadership keep us on track and inspire us,โ Black explained.
The Warren County Clerkโs Office performs a lot of vital functions for county residents, businesses and government agencies, handling legal documents, managing and preserving records, and overseeing the Department of Motor Vehicles. Susan has been part of a team that has been visiting local high schools to help students obtain their passports.
Strong-Norman is part of the team that oversees filing of documents, such as court orders and judgements, property deeds, mortgage records and more. Itโs immensely important work that involves many agencies, where attention to detail matters.
โYou have to know what every department in the county does,โ Strong-Norman explained. โIโve learned that there are a lot of documents with real property transactions.โ
She enjoys the responsibility, and is glad she made the career switch to work for Warren County!
