CDTA briefs public on bus routes, fares

CDTA meeting
CDTA PROVIDES UPDATE ON BUS ROUTES, SCHEDULES AND MORE

Thank you to everyone who turned out for the December 11 public meeting with Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) staff to update everyone on the progress of CDTA's transition to take over operations of Greater Glens Falls Transit.

CDTA staff said it was the biggest crowd they have had at a public meeting in 13 years! There was lots of great discussion about policy and procedures, and about changes sought by local riders.

The big takeways -- fares aren't going up, 200 bus stops will be added locally and bus connections to the Capital District are under consideration.

In addition, riders will have to get their buses at stops, as the Greater Glens Falls Transit policy to flag down buses between stops has ended.
