The GIS program has lent assistance to the Town of Chester, recording locations by GPS of Eurasian Milfoil infestation on
Loon Lake identified by Lake Ecologist Steve LaMere since 2007. The map to the left shows all the sites to date, providing
a strong visual picture of how this invasive species has spread over time.
Communities along the Hudson River, upstream from Glens Falls and west of Lake George, have joined together to celebrate
their shared history along the earliest route into the heart of the Adirondack wilderness. The map in this photograph shows
the train and driving tour routes and train stops. A copy of the map has been posted at each train station.

One of the Planning and Community Development Department's projects is providing assistance through grant programs to enhance the business district of the hamlet of North Creek. This map was developed for a grant application in 2007, and shows several properties targeted for improvement if the funds are awarded.
The County has applied for grant funding to examine the current telecommunication resources available in the region, and help identify technological improvements. The map to the left shows locations of cell towers and WIFI sources in Warren County.
The Warren County Tourism Department requested analysis of rest area distances along I87 from Albany to Plattsburgh. This map shows the stretch of the Northway, with the distance matrix table inserted for easy reference.
