Public Health to hold Tick disease awareness event April 6

Warren County Public Health staff will hold their first Tick Education event of 2024 at Hillview Library in Diamond Point on Saturday, April 6!

Public Health Program Manager Dan Durkee will be on hand for a talk about tick disease trends, how the insects spread disease, offer tick prevention tips and more. Educational materials will be available, as will FREE tick removal kits for use if one attaches on you.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the library, 3717 Lake Shore Drive. Those with questions can call the library at 518-668-3012.

More tick education events will be held later this spring. Anyone with questions about tick illness or disease prevention can call Warren County Public Health at 518-761-6580.
